The wax in my dissection pan arrived cracked. Can I still use my dissection pan?

1. Collect the dissection pan and any wax that may have cracked and become separated from the pan during shipping.

2. If using a hot plate:

  1. Place the dissection pan on a hot plate.
  2. Set the heat on the hot plate to 250Fahrenheit. DO NOT HEAT ABOVE THIS TEMPERATURE.
  3. Allow the wax to fully melt.
  4. Remove the tray from the head and allow the pan to cool and the wax to solidify. DO NOT USE THE PAN UNTIL IT IS FULLY COOLED.

3. If using an oven:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 250o Fahrenheit. DO NOT HEAT ABOVE THIS TEMPERATURE.
  2. Place the dissection pan onto a baking sheet.
  3. Place the baking sheet with the dissection pan into the oven.
  4. Allow the wax to fully melt.
  5. Remove the baking sheet and dissection pan from the oven.
  6. Allow the pan to cool and the wax to solidify. DO NOT USE THE PAN UNTIL IT IS FULLY COOLED.
