Blackboard Restore Course Instructions

1. In the admin section of Blackboard, select "System Admin".

2. Select "Courses".

3. Hover over "Create Course" to make the dropdown appear, then select "Restore".

4. In the Restore Course page, fill in the Destination Course ID field.

This will be the identifier for your new course.

5. In the Select A Package section, select "Browse My Computer" to find the .zip file that will be uploaded into the new course.

6. Select "Submit".

The operation should complete in 2-3 minutes. If your email system is set up in Blackboard, you will receive an email once complete. Otherwise, we recommend waiting a few minutes before navigating away.

7. In the Courses page, find the course you just added.

7.1. In the Search dropdown, select "Course ID".

7.2. In the Search text field, enter the Course ID you assigned in step 4.

7.3. Select "Go".

7.4. The course will now appear in your course list. Note that the Instructor Username and Instructor Name will be blank at this time.

8. Select the arrow next to the Course ID and select "Edit".

9. In the Course Settings page, change the name of the course to whatever you would like.

10. On the same page, select the Course ID to enter the course.

11. At the bottom of the left side menu bar, select "Quick Enroll".

12. In the popup window that appears, select "OK".

12.1. You will now see an orange bar at the top of the page indicating that the course setup is complete.

13. Select "Courses" to display your list of courses that you can navigate to.
